As an artist, I enjoy exploring themes deeply rooted in traditional
Indian subjects, focussing on rustic aesthetics that evoke a sense of
timelessness and cultural heritage.
My goal is to capture the beauty, light and mood of each subject, and in
the process attempt to bring out feelings and emotions that easily
resonate with the viewers. Watercolour - my favorite medium - allows
me to recreate fine details and offers a range of colours that vary from
subtle to vibrant, while providing an effect of transparency.
I draw and paint because it gives me serenity and a sense of
accomplishment. It gives me a lot of joy when my paintings induce a
sense of calmness.
